Some people find this a little freaky seeing an old photograph suddenly move but some people find it enormously comforting.

In the future though I firmly believe that this technology will develop to the point where an entire animation can be made from a simple photograph which makes uncovering those old photos all the more important. Concerns about this technology are what prompted the recent Hollywood strikes as actors are concerned that they will star in films 50 years after they die or even in films that they wouldn't want to star in. Whilst those concerns for movie stars are understandable in the field of genealogy they are very exciting.
